Nederbet

December 2018 – Unfortunately Nederbet stopped paying out and we can no longer recommend playing at this poker room. I am personally still waiting for my payouts since March 2016.

Our Nederbet review is no longer relevant or up to date, and the links have been changed to Netbet, a poker site that is paying out without any issues, which we consider one of the best choices. Take a look at our homepage for other Nederbet alternatives.

A First Look at NederBet Poker

Nederbet Poker has gone through several transformations since starting out life as Holland Poker. The site changed its name to Nederpoker until 2012, when it started accepting sports bets and changed its name again to Nederbet. The site now also offers an online casino powered by Microgaming and a Live Casino powered by Evolution Gaming – two of the most advanced gaming providers in the world.

As far as the poker product is concerned, Nederbet Poker resides on the iPoker Network – ensuring players of an exciting and fair poker experience. As the iPoker network is one of the largest in the world, players can also be sure of plenty of action at the tables, a good variety of games and valuable poker tournaments.

Value: The Nederbet Poker Bonus

The site offers a nice Nederbet Poker bonus of 200% up to $2,000. If you are funding your account in Euros, you will qualify for an equivalent Nederbet bonus in Euros at a fair exchange rate (around about €1,750) although the clearing requirements will be a little different from those explained below.

The bonus is released in increments of $5.00 for each 400 Frequent Player Points (FPPs) collected for contributing to the rake deducted from cash games or for paying a fee to enter a Nederbet poker tournament or Sit & Go game.

For new players, FPPs are awarded at the rate of 8 per dollar raked and 9 per dollar paid in tournament entry fees. These rates increase as you climb through the VIP statuses but, as you only have one calendar month to clear the Nederbet bonus, you will start at the bottom level for the purpose of clearing the bonus.

Important note: In order to qualify for the Nederbet bonus, you should enter the Nederbet bonus code “PSITECO” both when registering your account and when making your first deposit. If you don´t, you may not get the correct bonus applied and have to waste valuable poker time sorting your bonus out with customer services!

Value: The Nederbet Rewards Program

All the while you are collecting FFPs, they are contributing to your status in the Nederbet Rewards Program. Your status is important because determines at what rate you collect FPPs. Once you have collected an average of more than 1,000 FPPs per month over a three-month period, your statuses increase as follows:

  • Blue Status – An average of 1,000 to 4,999 FPPs per month over a three-month period
  • White Status – An average of 5,000 to 9,999 FPPs per month over a three-month period
  • Red Status – An average of 10,000 to 16,999 FPPs per month over a three-month period
  • Silver Status – An average of 17,000 to 34,999 FPPs per month over a three-month period
  • Gold Status – An average of 35,000 FPPs or more per month over a three-month period

Just to complicate matters, Nederbet Poker calculates the statuses on a weighted average. 50% of a player´s FPPs from the latest month are used in the calculation, together with 30% of the FPPs from the month before and 20% of the FPPs collected the month before that. It is quite a fair way of working out the statuses, as it helps newer players climb the rewards program quicker.

Everybody starts their poker experience at Nederbet as a VIP member and collects FPPs at the rate of 8 per dollar raked in cash games and 9 per dollar paid in tournament entry fees. Thereafter the rate at which you collect FPPs increases according to your status:

  • Players with Blue Status still receive 8 FPPs per dollar raked at the cash tables, but 12 FPPs per dollar paid in tournament entry fees.
  • When you reach White Status, you will receive FPPs at the rate of 10 per dollar raked in cash games and 15 per dollar paid to enter Nederbet poker tournaments
  • Red Status players also receive 10 FPPs at the cash game tables, but the rate they receive for tournament fees increases to 18 FPPs per dollar
  • By the time you get to Silver Status, you will be receiving 12 FPPs per dollar raked and 21 FPPs per dollar paid in fees.
  • You also get 12 FPPs per dollar raked in cash games when you reach Gold Level, but the rate at which you awarded FPPs for tournament entry fees increases to 24 per dollar

When you come to exchange your FPPs for cash, the more you exchange in one go, the higher rate of exchange you receive. For example, if you cash out between 1,000 and 5,000 FPPs, you will get cash at the rate of $4.00 per 1,000 FPPs. If you cash out between 5,001 and 10,000 FPPs, you will get an exchange rate of $5.00 per 1,000 FPPs, and the rate keeps increasing until the maximum of $10.00 per 1,000 FPPs for cashing out more than 200,000 FPPs.

Software: Poker Games and Tournaments

The choice of poker games and tournaments at Nederbet Poker is governed by the iPoker Network, but it should keep most poker players happy. There is loads of action available around the clock at the regular NL Hold´em and Omaha cash tables plus Nederbet´s fast-fold poker game “Speed Poker”.

Sit & Go action includes the hyper-turbo three-handed “Twister” game – in which players can win up to 1,000 times their buy-in. The site also hosts Sit & Go Jackpot games, in which players can win a growing jackpot for winning several games in a row, and – of course – there is a full range of “regular” Sit & Go games from micro-stakes buy-ins up to nosebleed stakes.

Nederbet has a superb tournament schedule that pays out more than $6 million each month in guaranteed prize pools. Sundays in particular should not be missed. The “Sunday Line-Up” consists of nine tournaments with more than $250,000 in guarantees, including the network´s “Sunday Special” feature tournament that guarantees €100,000 (Euros not dollars).

Software: Nederbet Poker Download

The Nederbet poker download is very simple. When you visit the Nederbet web site, the top menu item on the Nederbet Poker page is “Free Download”. Click on this link and you will be taken to a page that automatically starts the download process. Instructions appear on the page about how to complete the software installation, and create an account.

Nederbet poker is only available for players with a Windows operating system that has the following minimum requirements:

Intel Pentium II 400MHz or faster CPU.
A minimum of 96MB RAM.
SVGA monitor with 800×600 or higher resolution.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 or later.
Microsoft Windows XP or later.

You will need at least 30 MB free space on your hard drive.

Nederbet is not available on Mac.

Security: Banking

Most of the usual deposit options are available for players to claim the Nederbet bonus (Visa, MasterCard, Skrill and Neteller), and as Nederbet caters for the Dutch market, the choice of options includes iDeal. Withdrawals can be made to Skrill or Neteller accounts or by bank transfer, but be careful about the currency in which you set up your account.

Nederbet offers the option of opening an account in US dollars or Euros. Nearly all the cash games and tournaments are played in Euros, but the Nederbet bonus is awarded in US dollars. It is best to avoid expensive foreign exchange charges by setting your account up in the currency of the source used to fund it (i.e. a Euro Visa credit card) and just accept that you might lose out a few dollars of the Nederbet bonus.

Security: Customer Support

Nederbet has a very comprehensive Frequently Answered Questions section on its web site, but unfortunately most of it relates to sports betting or the online casino. For specific queries about Nederbet poker, it is better to use the online contact form that you will find on the Nederbet website. The only alternative to this is a call to the Malta-based customer services department.

As a rule, we found the online contact form adequate for our needs. However, if you need to speak with a customer support representative, they mostly speak good Dutch. We recommend that you contact customer support as soon as you have created your account and received the Welcome email from Nederbet to verify your account and add another level of security.

My Experience Playing at Nederbet Poker

Although the Nederbet website is basically designed, the poker software is what you would expect from a poker site on the iPoker Network. The sports betting facilities and online casino were pretty good as well. It is important to note that the standard of play improves as you increase your stake levels at the poker tables – particularly in the “Sunday Line-Up” tournaments.

The maximum Nederbet bonus is a little bit difficult to clear within the month allowed, but the rewards program – although complicated – adds a lot of value to playing at Nederbet poker. Overall I would recommend the site for players that enjoy recreational poker or those of an appropriately good standard to take down the more valuable network tournaments.
